Start a SEDS Chapter

Starting a Chapter
Would you like to join other space-interested students in SEDS?
- Do you want to start a new club? You can work with SEDS to start a new chapter.
- Are you an officer of an existing club? You can affiliate your group as a SEDS chapter.
The common way to become a SEDS chapter in different parts of the world:
- USA: http://www.seds.org/join.php
- UK: http://www.uk.seds.org/membership/register/
- Other: email international@seds.org
There are lots of resources in the SEDS-USA Chapter Expansion Kit at http://seds.org/starter.php (note: very large PDF).
For those interested in becoming an official SEDS chapter (outside of USA or UK), send an email to international@seds.org with the following information:
- Your name and email address
- Your university or school
- Information about your organization
- Why you want to join
- Any other information you want to share or requests you have for SEDS
We will keep this email as an official record of membership.
Next Steps
The following steps are not required, but they are recommended:
- Join the SEDS-Earth email list. This is a common list for national SEDS leaders and students interested in international activities.
- Join the SEDS-announce email list to receive notices about SEDS activities and the SEDS-discuss email list to talk to other students.
- Attend the annual SEDS International Conference.
- Write to the SEDS-Earth blog. To get access, send a request to international@seds.org.
